Auto Car Driver is a procedural animation system that automates vehicle movement along curve paths over terrain. Users prepare their 3D models by separating the car body, tires, and brakes into designated collections and aligning them to the Y-axis. Once configured, the system dynamically calculates suspension, acceleration, and braking effects based on the underlying surface without the need for manual keyframing.
The tool includes controls for partial curve animation, allowing users to define specific start and end positions along the path for stop-and-go sequences. The setup also automatically generates realistic tire skid marks and volumetric spray effects to simulate dust, water, or smoke as the vehicle moves across the terrain.
