Which Direction

This addon introduces a customizable 3D orientation gizmo to the Blender viewport, functioning similarly to the orientation helper found in ZBrush. It supplements the default XYZ axis indicator with a 3D mesh that rotates in sync with the viewport camera, providing a continuous visual reference for spatial orientation. Users can customize the helper by selecting from multiple mesh options, including standard primitives and the Suzanne monkey. The addon allows configuration of the helper's screen position to any corner or a custom location. Additionally, it offers adjustable lighting, rendering settings, and camera simulation with real-world focal length presets. The tool utilizes GPU-accelerated shaders and mesh caching to minimize performance overhead during navigation.
