String To Float is a Geometry Nodes group that converts text input into numerical values to control animations and object properties. It operates by converting an input string to curves, generating splines where each character corresponds to a unique spline length using a custom-made font. The input characters are then assigned set values based on their typing order.
The output provides a unique float value for each character, indexed by its position in the string. Unrecognized characters are ignored during calculation without causing errors. The group handles an unlimited number of characters. A free "lite" version supports lowercase letters, while a paid version includes 84 characters.
