OptiPloy Pro is an add-on that introduces a hybrid approach to importing assets in Blender, balancing the features of appending and linking. It allows users to choose which data types (from 15 available, including meshes, materials, and armatures) to localize and which to leave linked to the source file, aiming to reduce file duplication and storage requirements.

The tool features a side-panel for spawning marked assets (Objects and Collections) directly, alongside thumbnail previews, a search menu, and drag-and-drop functionality. Users can save importing preferences globally, per-folder, or per-blend file. The add-on includes specific handling for armatures, ensuring bone shapes are not duplicated upon localization, and can automatically execute associated Python scripts, such as Rigify UI scripts, upon import.
