OpenRocket Animator is an add-on that imports 3D rocket models and flight simulation data from OpenRocket to create physically accurate trajectory visualizations. Users can load OBJ files exported from OpenRocket, utilizing built-in tools to correct the model's scale factor. The add-on imports simulation data via CSV files, automatically detecting the necessary columns for position, time, and rotation to drive the animation.

Animation generation can be customized with start offsets, keyframe frequency controls, and optional roll rotation. The tool includes an option to enforce linear interpolation on animation curves, preventing the automatic acceleration and deceleration of Bézier easing to maintain technical accuracy. Additionally, it provides camera management features that allow the active camera to track the rocket's trajectory automatically, or mount shaking cameras directly onto the rocket model.
