Mood-ID is a lighting tool that generates scene illumination based on color palettes extracted from images. It includes a library of over 270 preset lighting styles organized by theme, accessible through an integrated icon gallery. Users can also load their own custom images, from which the addon will automatically extract a color palette to drive the scene's lighting setup.

The addon functions as a low-memory alternative to traditional HDRIs. Instead of relying on high-resolution EXR or HDR files, it utilizes optimized JPG images combined with a procedural shading method to emulate high dynamic range lighting. A detailed settings panel allows users to fine-tune the resulting lighting effects for interior, exterior, or stylized scenes.
