Magic Trails is an addon for generating realtime trail effects attached to animated objects. It calculates trails dynamically, removing the need for cloth simulations or complex animation baking during the setup phase. Users can parent the trail controller to moving characters, weapons, or props, and the simulation responds instantly.

The tool includes preset materials covering common effects like gradients, smears, fire, and lightning, while also supporting custom material creation. Advanced features include Trail Followers for secondary motion and velocity capture for rigging. Once the desired effect is achieved, the trail simulation can be baked for rendering or export. Users can further manipulate the generated trail mesh using standard Blender modifiers.
