Lily Capture Merger is an add-on that analyzes texture content to determine the spatial transform required to stitch multiple object collections together seamlessly. Originally designed for use alongside the MapsModelsImporter tool, it enables users to piece together separate 3D map captures into a larger continuous environment by evaluating their overlapping imagery.
To align collections, users select an object from the collection to be moved and an active object from the target collection. The tool evaluates the textures of the objects across the collections. By matching identical texture content, it calculates how to transform the first collection so that it aligns precisely with the target. Built-in cleanup options allow users to automatically delete duplicate objects from the moved collection once alignment is complete. For successful matching, the overlapping textures must share exact visual content, and each texture should ideally belong to a single object.
