Frankie the flying squirrel is a rigged character model originally created by the Blender Institute for the open movie Big Buck Bunny. The original character rig ceased functioning after Blender version 2.6x.

This release provides an updated, functional version of the rig designed to work in modern versions of Blender. It retains the original Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license, allowing for commercial use provided appropriate credit is given to the original creators.
