Film Emulation Nodes provides a package of custom node groups for Blender's Compositor designed to replicate traditional cinematic aesthetics. The setup includes tools for introducing analog imperfections such as halation around bright light sources, lens dirt, white film speckles, and both procedural and scanned movie film grain.
Additional color grading and optical adjustments are handled through specialized nodes for color density, film tinting with bleach looks, and shadow desaturation for neutralizing blacks. Users can also frame their compositions using standard and focus vignetting, or apply a stylized border mimicking a scanned film roll. The nodes support custom mask inputs to isolate effects and can output generated masks and textures for further use in the compositing chain.
