Face Rigger is an add-on that generates control rigs for character faces attached to existing armatures. The tool reads a model's shape keys or symmetrically-named face bones and connects them to a unified control interface using driver setups.
The tool includes functionality to convert existing armature actions into usable data for the face rig. It also provides a built-in phoneme table to assist with lip-syncing requirements. Users can scale the generated control bones for better visibility and parents the entire facial setup to a designated head bone on the main rig. To function properly, left and right facial bones must follow strict symmetrical naming conventions.
