Easyref is an add-on that integrates reference image management directly into the 3D viewport. It allows users to add multiple cameras, each capable of holding numerous reference images, and adjust camera focus to align with references. The tool includes support for orthographic images to assist with modeling and scaling, automatically assigning images to specific views if their filenames include directional terms like Front, Back, Top, or Left.

The add-on features a dedicated References View where users can organize references into collections, grid selected references, and control the size and position of the view via preferences. Images can be edited using a gizmo for scale, opacity, and rotation. References are embedded directly into the .blend file, ensuring they remain attached when the file is shared. Users can drop images into the 3D View and select how they are applied, whether as a standard image, camera reference, or orthographic reference.
