Procedural Snow

Procedural Snow is a Geometry Nodes tool for Blender that automatically generates snow cover on the top surfaces of 3D objects and collections. It creates natural-looking snow accumulation while respecting occluded areas on the mesh.

The tool includes two supplementary materials: a fully procedural snow shader and a frozen surface shader that can be mixed with existing materials. The snow shader offers adjustable parameters for bump intensity, roughness variation, color, and translucency. Users can direct the snow generation using vertex groups, allowing for custom masking, shape manipulation, and depth control, which is useful for creating effects like footsteps or trails.
