This add-on provides a basic physics simulation system specifically for standard curve objects in Blender. It is designed to offer an alternative approach for animating hair or similar curved structures, allowing users to apply simple dynamics while attempting to preserve the curve's original groomed shape.

Key capabilities include locking the initial points of a curve, adjusting stiffness variance for randomized strand movement, and utilizing rest pose smoothing to help the simulation settle back into its original state. The tool also supports collision collections and simulation baking, which makes the generated animation compatible with keyframe-editing add-ons like AnimAll.

Note that this tool works exclusively with traditional curve objects rather than the newer curve hair system, though it remains compatible with geometry nodes like Duplicate Hair. The simulation is a simplified model and does not currently include gravity forces.
