It captures screenshots of the workspace or records from specific scene cameras at fixed intervals, allowing users to document workflows like sculpting or modeling without interrupting their process. The tool supports capturing from multiple cameras simultaneously and can track animated camera keyframes over time.

Users can lock specific viewport shading settings for the capture, ensuring a consistent visual style regardless of how the working viewport is changed. An idle detection feature ensures that frames are only captured when changes are made to the scene, preventing duplicate images and saving disk space. The addon also includes a utility to automatically compile the resulting image sequence into a final video file, alongside experimental support for capturing Dyntopo sculpt data.
